Course Description

This qualification, certified by the Mauritian Qualification Association, is for any real estate agent who wants to increase his knowledge for his own benefit or would like to open his own real estate agency. This course gives you the information you need to successfully run your business and manage real estate agents in your firm.

Designed for flexibility, this course allows learners to progress at their own pace within the stipulated timeframe. All course content is accessible online and is methodically organised and designed to ensure ease of use and comprehension.

The course is made of modules known as Learning Units. Each learning unit has three components – knowledge, practical and workplace evidence.

Knowledge
In each of these modules you will receive a training manual with add-on resource information, online training videos, and then a quiz. Once you have completed the knowledge component, you move on to the practical.

Practical
The practical modules require you to prove that you can apply the recently acquired knowledge in the field. This means that you will complete assignments. Once done, you will upload them to the platform. Follow the prompts!

Workplace Evidence
These modules require you to complete and amend documents that you would use to sell or lease a property. It covers all aspects of activities an estate agent produces in the field.

Course Topics

The NQF5 course trains you in the following aspects of real estate management:

Legislation covers the Mauritian Real Estate Authority Act of 2020, the Code of Conduct, and all other property-related Acts, emphasising the POPI and FIC regulations. As a principal estate agent, you must understand the restrictions involved in holding a Trust Account and managing compliance throughout your firm.
Contract Law is covered, and examples of contracts are supplied that you can adapt to your business. Within this topic we cover company policy management and show you how to manage your human resources. Town planning regulations are important when trading in property, and this topic is well-covered as a specialisation.
Marketing & Advertising forms a module, and here, you are encouraged to produce a comparative analysis so that you are able to successfully market and sell or lease a property because you understand the supply and demand chain.
