Following the 2020 Real Estate Agent Authority Act, the Mauritian government created the Real Estate Agent Authority (REAA) to regulate the profession on the island.
This qualification, which is certified by the Mauritian Qualification Association, is for any individual who is or wishes to be involved in the property and real estate industry. The MQA governs, controls and monitors education standards. This qualification has 150 credits, which equates to 1 500 notional hours (study hours needed to complete the course).
The NQF4 six-month course is structured to equip individuals with the comprehensive understanding, know-how and values essential for success in the property and real estate industry. Designed for flexibility, this course allows learners to progress at their own pace within the stipulated timeframe. All course content is accessible online and is methodically organised and designed to ensure ease of use and comprehension.
Comprising three integral and interrelated components – knowledge, practical application and workplace evidence – the course offers varied assessment methods. The knowledge assessment involves Q&A quizzes, while practical tasks are submitted via designated answer boxes. Workplace evidence is submitted through uploads. Throughout the course, learners are provided with clear instructions though checklists and instructional videos, ensuring a smooth, seamless learning experience.
